Redman elected to state School Boards Association Board of Directors

John Redman of Goshen was elected to a two-year term as Area 9 Director of the New York State School Boards Association. As Area 9 Director, Redman represents school districts in Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster.
Since 2000, Redman has been on the Florida Union Free School District Board of Education and is now serving his sixth term. He has served as both president and vice president of the board. Redman twice achieved Board Mastery designations from the New York State School Boards Association. In addition, he was president of the Orange County School Boards Association for three years and received the Mid-Hudson School Study Council Excellence Award for school board service.
Redman graduated from Colorado College and is president of the Union Square Group.
The New York State School Boards Association provides advocacy, training and information to school boards in support of their mission to govern the state’s public schools. The NYSSBA Board of Directors establishes policies to supervise, control and direct the business of the Association.
