|David Little, Director of Governmental Relations|
Areas of Responsibility: Oversight of the Government Relations Department, the Association's legislative agenda and responding to legislative and regulatory proposals affecting public education.
David Allan Little has directed NYSSBA's Governmental Relations Department since November of 1999. He is a graduate of Wittenberg University and the Capital University Law School. Dave previously served as counsel in both the New York State Assembly and Senate. His most recent position was Home Rule Counsel and Counsel to the Majority Leader for Local Government. Dave also served nine years on the Brittonkill Board of Education, the last seven as its president. In addition, Dave has served on the Rensselaer County Legislature, the Capital District Regional Planning Commission and the Board of Directors of the Cornell Cooperative Extension. He is also past chair of the Conference of State Association Legislative Staff. Dave lives in Brunswick with his wife Lynne. Their sons Patrick and Daniel recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University and the Rochester Institute of Technology, respectively.

|Michael Fox, Senior Legislative Policy Analyst|
Michael Fox joined the NYSSBA staff as senior legislative policy analyst in March of 2011.
Michael received an undergraduate degree in government from Franklin and Marshall College and holds a masters degree in public administration from the University at Albany.
His most recent prior appointment was program associate in the state Senate Majority Counsel and Program Office, where he worked on mental hygiene and education issues. Prior to that position, he was president and chief executive officer of the New York State Rehabilitation Association and Rehabilitation Research and Training Institute. Fox also served as committee director for the state Senate Mental Hygiene and Addiction Control Committee. In addition to those positions, he held a variety of legislative internships in New York and Washington D.C. and was a gubernatorial appointee to a variety of task forces and advisory councils.
Legislative Committee Areas: Education, Finance, Mental Health, Rules and Ways and Means.
|Meghana Godambe, Governmental Relations Representative|
Meghana Godambe joined the NYSSBA staff as governmental relations representative in August 2011.
Meghana received her bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Rochester and her J.D. from the University of Dayton, Ohio.
Meghana, most recently was legislative associate and assistant counsel at the state Council of School Superintendents.
Prior to that position, Meghana was counsel for the state Senate Education Committee, where she worked for Sen. Stephen Saland. Her background also includes a research analyst position with Senate Research Services and Senate Fellowship with Senator Thomas Morahan.
Legislative Committee Areas: Education, Environmental Conservation, Health, Transportation, Libraries and Education Technology and Labor.
