Position Description:
The Deputy Superintendent is a Cabinet-level position responsible for broad executive control of the systems, practices, policies, and procedures of the Agency. The Deputy Superintendent promotes the Agency's mission and supports the District Superintendent's efforts to ensure leadership for developing, achieving, and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services. The Deputy Superintendent serves as the Chief Administrator's designee at the request of or in the absence of the District Superintendent.

  • Supervise, evaluate, and direct: Communications and Grants Research (CGR), Educational Resources (ER), Regional Special Education Technical Assistance Support Center (RSE-TASC), Educational Programs, Technology, and Human Resources.
  • Serve as part of the collaborative leadership team for the Agency reviewing challenges, solving problems, and directing the course of the Agency with members of the Cabinet.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A minimum of ten years of successful experience in education including teaching, supervision, and administration. Preference will be given to candidates who have held cabinet level posts in a BOCES or K-12 public school district.

  • Valid NYS Teacher and Leadership Certificate(s)

Position Title:

Position Description:
The Watertown City School District is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. Duties include developing, overseeing, and managing day-to-day operations of educational programs and services for the District. Position Title:
School Business Administrator

Position Description:

Qualifications:
Any of the following New York State certifications: SBA, SDA, SDBL (or qualify for the Certificate of Internship for the SDBL) or meet Civil Service qualifications; Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills; Experience in supervision, budgeting, facility upkeep, transportation operations, capital construction projects, and cafeteria operations is desirable; Demonstrated experience using technology as management/business/finance tool; Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an administrative team; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools finds appropriate.
