Position Description:
The Fairport Central School System is seeking a strong leader with a successful record of achievement as a senior executive in public education, who is an effective communicator and problem-solver committed to educational excellence for all students.

The District serves a residential community of approximately 40,000 people in a suburb located southeast of the City of Rochester, and serves nearly 6,200 students, employing over 1,140 full and part-time staff. Community involvement and pride in its schools are hallmarks of the District. Children benefit greatly from the support of a community that believes in educating every child and the whole child; a one-size fits all approach does not create the right learning environment to satisfy the needs of the diverse interests of the district’s children. Commitment and quality are evident in the focus on helping students develop their individual potential. High academic standards and continuous improvement are also hallmarks of the District.

Qualifications:
Based on recent community input, the successful candidate will be:
• A respected instructional leader who is passionate about her/his advocacy for children and one who has been able, through superior communication skills,  to build trust among all stakeholders by focusing the system on its people, the instructional programs, student learning and the improvement of student achievement.
• A successful teacher, principal and district administrator (superintendent experience preferred) who is visible in the schools and at school events, as well as in the community, and one who has a record of building positive relationships with all constituents.
• A strong leader willing to advocate for decisions made about the direction of the District, and be sensitive to generating community understanding of those decisions. They will be a well-respected educator who continually keeps staff informed of major changes and offers clear and consistent direction, while holding staff accountable for their performance  

Salary Range:
The salary will be regionally competitive and will include a comprehensive benefits package. New York State certification as a School District Leader (SDL or SDA) is required.

Qualifications:
The Board of Education of the William Floyd UFSD is accepting applications for this key leadership role in the 8,800 student K – 12 school district. The Board is seeking an experienced administrator who is a community-oriented educational leader able to provide direction to a diverse school district with a rich history in a variety of exciting initiatives.  It is preferred that the successful candidate have Central Office experience.  New York State SDA or SDL required.

Salary Range:
