If you're a Board Officer, or have thoughts of becoming one, you need to develop your leadership skills and communications abilities to motivate your school district towards greater student achievement.

At this one day academy, you will learn how to:

• Assess the qualities and skills of great leaders
• Develop a cohesive board team
• Run an efficient board meeting
• Interact with the media to communicate your message clearly, and
• Conduct an effective public comment session.

Through hands-on experience, mock sessions and role-playing you will develop your leadership style, communications skills and facilitation techniques as you learn a variety of best practices for effective leaders.
