Webinar - FIS 217: Engaging the Community for a Successful Budget Vote
Date: December 14, 2016
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

It can be challenging for a school board and community to work together in order to pass a budget vote.

This webinar will teach you how to rise above the “numbers and process” in order to keep the community’s focus on the connection between a taxpayer’s investment and the services provided by the district for its students.

You will also:

  • See samples of communications that align mission and goals
  • Learn how articulate budgeted revenues and expenditures in layman’s terms

Join Bethlehem Central School District’s Chief Business and Financial Officer, Judith E. Kehoe, Superintendent, Jody Monroe, and Communications Specialist, Jo Ellen Gardner, as they discuss the tools needed to help a community understand the key elements of the budget.

Who should attend:

  • School Board Members
  • Superintendents
  • Finance Officers
  • Communications Specialists

Course Number: FIS 217
