Beefing up facility security does not address violence prevention. Strengthening a student’s connection to
school and the school community can help reduce violence and bullying. Learn from climate specialists how to measure school climate and use it to improve student outcomes for all members of the school community.

School Climate surveys help schools assess student, staff and community perceptions and identify specific strengths and areas for improvement. Hear from experienced school personnel about best practices for conducting a successful climate survey, and how the results can improve a school’s climate.

Your policies affect the school climate. Find out if your board is on the right track, needs to revise existing policies, or still has more work to do.

Course fee includes resource materials, continental breakfast and a non-refundable $35 administrative fee. *Cancellations will not be refunded after the pre-registration/cancellation deadline, which is one week prior to the event. No-shows will be billed.
All NYSSBA member school boards are eligible for recognition in this program. Credit will accrue for listed events and activities for individuals serving on a NYSSBA member board.
Board members will earn 20 points for attending.
