Anne Morgan, a member of the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Board of Education, has been honored as School Board Member of the Week, part of an eight-week campaign celebrating school board service by the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA).

The campaign – entitled “Do You Know Who I Am?” – tells the story of individual school board members such as Morgan and the contributions they make in their communities. The campaign runs through March 21.

Morgan has been on the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Board of Education since 2005. Prior to that, she served on the Romulus Board of Education for 15 years.

In addition to her school board service, Morgan has been the assessor for five towns in southern Seneca County for the past 20 years.

“I like the feeling that I’m giving something back to my community and school district,” says Morgan.

“I love kids. I want the best for them.”
