Advocacy Update: Senate Hearing on Broadband Access

Yesterday, the New York State Senate held a public hearing on broadband access in NYS. NYSSBA provided testimony at this well attended hearing, focusing on the importance of improved broadband access to support education, especially in underserved rural areas. Reminder - Amendment and Rebuttal Deadline Approaching
Districts wishing to submit an amendment, rebuttal or late resolution for inclusion in the final Voting Delegates' Guide must do so by 5:00 pm this Friday, September 20th. Amendments, rebuttals and late resolutions can be sent to Danielle Grasso at Danielle.firstname.lastname@example.org. Details on the amendment, rebuttal process and late resolutions process, as well as the report of the Resolutions Committee can be accessed at the link below to the 2019 Proposed Bylaw Amendments and Resolutions.
