Statement by NYSSBA Executive Director Timothy G. Kremer on the Newly Appointed Regents Board Members

We congratulate the three new members of the Board of Regents who were appointed today by the New York State Legislature:  Luis Reyes, Nan Mead and Elizabeth Smith Hakanson.

With today's new Regents announcements and the upcoming appointment of a new Regents Chancellor, this new board will have the task of helping guide school boards through a series of controversial issues.  We are looking forward to working with the Board of Regents in providing high quality educational programming for all students.
