Who:    More than 200 school board members and education officials 

What:   New York State School Boards Association annual "Capital Conference." 
New York State Interim Education Commissioner Shannon Tahoe will discuss key issues facing New York’s schoolchildren; Governor Cuomo's Deputy Secretary of Education Daniel Fuller will review the executive budget proposals and Senate Education Chair Shelley Mayer will discuss legislative and budgetary priorities.

Shannon Tahoe
The commissioner will address current issues facing New York school boards and answer questions.

7:30-9:00 p.m. Senator Shelley Mayer, Chair of the Senate Education Committee
Albany Capital Center
Hear from the Senate Education chair on the Senate Majority’s legislative and budgetary priorities.

8:00-9:30 a.m.  Youth Governor, Maille Bowerman, William Floyd Union Free School District student, YMCA Youth and Government Program
Maille will talk about mental health awareness in schools.
