Dr. Rosalba Corrado Del Vecchio - Conference of Big 5

Dr. Rosalba Corrado Del Vecchio represents the state’s Big 5 city school districts on the New York State School Boards Association Board of Directors.
She was appointed by the Conference of Big 5 School Districts, which includes Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, New York City and Yonkers, for a two-year term.
NYSSBA provides advocacy, training and information to school boards in support of their mission to govern the state’s public schools. The NYSSBA board establishes policies to supervise, control and direct the business of the Association.
Mayor Mike Spano reappointed Dr. Rosalba Corrado Del Vecchio as a Yonkers Public Schools Trustee on June 28, 2022 to a five-year term through April 30, 2027. At the Board of Education November 18, 2020 Stated meeting, the Trustees unanimously elected Dr. Rosalba Corrado Del Vecchio Vice President of the Yonkers Board of Education to serve the term through May 2023. She currently serves as board president.
Dr. Del Vecchio, a highly respected educator, is a former teacher, building and central office administrator for the Yonkers Public Schools, where she distinguished herself as Director of Funded Programs.
She is a former Fulbright and National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow and serves on the board of the Fulbright Association of Greater New York.
