  • Serve as a member of the LHRIC senior leadership team, supporting the delivery of services to school partners.   • Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified LHRIC employees. This includes the direct supervision of certified teachers working in district classrooms training teachers on the best practices of using new and emerging technologies.
  • Assist districts with budget oversight by helping them determine the most cost effective and instructionally sound options in the world of instructional technology. This requires experience in fiscal accountability at the school district level as well as current knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Direct and coordinate all activities of internal departments within the LHRIC, and act on behalf of the Executive Director in his/her absence
  • Participate in the budget formulation and provide final budget input to the Executive Director for internal LHRIC departments
  • Work with the management team to provide the Executive Director with all relevant data necessary for the development of annual and long range plans
  • Represent the LHRIC on all technical and educational technology matters both internally and externally
  • Carry out all responsibilities as designated by Executive Director of LHRIC.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess NYS Permanent Certification as School District Administrator or School Administrator/Supervisor;
  • Possess thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing student instruction and assessment along with student/teacher/principal evaluation and accountability;
  • Proven experience in leading learning and technology integration in the school setting; Successful experience as a school and district leader.

Position Title:
Director of Technology & Data

Position Description:
Typical job duties will include, but are not limited to:

General:

  1. Represents the district in meetings with educational business groups dealing with informational technology.
  2. Represents the district in meetings involving BOCES informational technology services and Managed IT services.
  3. Works under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools with the Director of Business Administration to write and maintain the district IT budget.

Technical/Computer Services:

  1. Assumes the role of System Administrator, coordinating hardware, software, implementation and maintenance. Oversees day to day operations of district’s network.
  2. Coordinates the district web presence and other related technical and web based services.
  3. Coordinates the purchasing of all hardware and software for the district.
  4. Coordinates the review and evaluation of software for administrative and clerical purposes; communicates information from such evaluation to appropriate staff members.

Classroom Integration

  1. Plans, develops and coordinates the computer education program as well as administrative/clerical applications for the district.
  2. Provides advice and assistance about the use of computer hardware and software for instruction.
  3. Oversees student management system (eschool data) operations.

Data Management

  1. Responsible for accurate reporting of all data required by NYS SED.
  2. Will act as district CIO reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools.

Other responsibilities may be added at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools.

Qualifications:
The Mount Pleasant Central School District is seeking a Director of Technology and Data. The ideal candidate will possess experience with implementation of instructional software, including student management systems. This position will support classroom implementation of instructional software programs as well. The ideal candidate should also have basic knowledge of hardware and network infrastructure, being able to have oversight and being able to troubleshoot issues with the BOCES Managed IT Team. The Director of Technology and Data will have knowledge of NYS data reporting requirements and the responsibilities of the CIO. This position will need to have knowledge of the state data repository, HR and SMS systems for purposes of data extract and other relevant data reporting systems. This position will be responsible for supervision and direction of a small office and support staff. This position will report directly to the Superintendent of Schools. The successful candidate must possess School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) certification. Relevant work experience is preferred. Masters Degree required

Position Title:
Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum and Instruction

Position Description:

  • Work collaboratively with building and teaching leadership, the Special Education department, and the broader instructional staff to ensure that our approach to learning and instruction is research based, current and relevant
  • Recommend adoption of new instructional methods, materials, and/or programs using the most current technology for learning and teaching
  • Supervise certified staff Performance Development, teacher Mentoring program and collaborate with Professional Development resources.
  • Research, recommend and implement data management solutions for testing in conjunction with BOCES and NYSED and analyze, interpret and present assessment data related to student performance and modify curriculum as needed
  • Advocate for the new education law, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and assure teachers are in compliance with all new initiatives including the new history and science standards
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and enact a district-wide RTI Plan that incorporates a Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Assist in the development and progression of both annual goals and long range strategic planning, including staff projections based on district's needs assessment
  • Chair Technology Committee, oversee Technology plan, and supervise staff
  • Perform teacher observations
  • In conjunction with teacher committees, organize Superintendent Conference Days
  • Coordinate grants and prepare the budget for learning and instruction work
  • Perform the duties of the Superintendent in his/her absence and acts as a resource and partner to the Superintendent at all times
  • Participate in Board of Education meetings as well as other district level functions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State SDL certification along with an appropriate Master's Degree (Doctorate preferred)
  • Curriculum specialist with knowledge of K-12 NYS standards and balanced literacy
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in building and/or district level Instructional Leadership and experience facilitating professional development opportunities
  • Strong experience in data management (e.g. testing and scoring)
  • Minimum five (5) years teaching experience working collaboratively with students, colleagues and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with key stakeholders around a shared and dynamic vision for learning and instruction that is both inclusive and diverse
