General Statement of Duties: The primary responsibility of the principal is to administer and supervise the school program in order to improve instruction, in accordance with Board policies and administrative procedures.   10. Serves as the JSHS district fund raising coordinator, in collaboration with the Elementary School Principal, reviews all requests, seeks to minimize conflicts and overlap, schedules events on the District’s wall calendar and electronic calendar;
  11. Coordinates internships and job shadowing experiences for students within the community;
  12. Coordinates with all department directors  (Director of Curriculum Development & Assessment, Director of Extra-curricular Advisement & Athletics, etc.) with shared oversight of all service clubs and associated activities, curriculum and professional development;
  13. Assists with the creation and maintenance of a favorable image to the community; maintains visibility within the community;
  14. Attends monthly regular meetings of the Board, as well as any meeting with the Board that is necessary;

Qualifications:
Candidate must have thorough knowledge of pupil transportation operations, including routing and scheduling. The ability to interact effectively within a culturally diverse community is needed as well as experience developing and working within a budget. Minimum qualifications: High school or equivalency diploma plus 6 years of administrative experience in transportation or traffic, one year of which must have involved passenger movement. Education beyond high school within a field of administration may be substituted for the experience on a year-for-year basis for up to 5 years.
