Qualifications:

Job responsibilities:

  • Manages the recruitment, selection, induction, and continued success of all staff;
  • Oversees the administration of employee benefits and personnel policies;

  • Attends all Board of Education meetings and presents Human Resources policies and procedures for information or action;
  • Assists administrative and supervisory personnel in the mediation and resolution of staff concerns and complaints within established guidelines and policy;
  • Assures compliance with State and Federal laws pertaining to education, Commissioner's Regulations, and Board of Education policies;
  • Assists in the development of non-instructional job descriptions, classifications and staff responsibilities;
  • Serves as a representative of the Superintendent of Schools in legal proceedings with the District’s collective bargaining units;
  • Performs such other responsibilities as may be requested by the Superintendent of Schools

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Education or a closely related field at the time of application
  • New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or New York State School District Leadership (SDL) certificate at the time of application
  • A minimum of five (5) years of successful administrative experience in a public school setting
