Assistant Superintendent for Business

Position Description:
Blind Brook-Rye Union Free School District is a small suburban district in the Village of Rye Brook. Rye Brook is in southern Westchester County, about 30 miles north of New York City with a population of approximately 9,400 residents. It is a predominately middle to upper class area with mostly single-family homes. There are three Blind Brook-Rye Schools on two campuses: Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School (K-5), located at 390 North Ridge Street, and Blind Brook Middle School (6-8), and Blind Brook High School (9-12) which share a campus at 840 King Street. The enrollment for all grades K-12 is approximately 1,400 students. The Blind Brook-Rye Schools are the cornerstone of the community and enjoy a history of strong community support for education.

Overview: The School Business Administrator is directly responsible to the Superintendent of Schools for school business administration including purchasing, accounting, auditing and budget development, labor contract negotiations, school construction, plant operations and maintenance, health and safety, pupil transportation, food service, and all other general operations. Assumes a leadership role in the administration and execution of all policies and programs of the Board of Education.

Qualifications:
