Teacher and Principal Evaluations Final Answers, New Questions
The Board of Regents has adopted new APPR regulations for the evaluation of teachers and principals. The new rules took effect May 20, 2011. Discover what it all means and how to meet the challenges ahead.
Attend these half-day workshops on the new APPR regulations to learn about:
- Who is affected and when.
- Measuring student growth and achievement.
- Assessing teacher and principal practice skills, and calculating their effectiveness scores.
- Evaluator training and appeal procedures.
- Local capacity issues that will affect implementation.
- The impact on collective bargaining.
Presenters will include members of the Regents' Task Force on Teacher and Principal Effectiveness charged with making recommendations for the new rules.
