Annual Business Meeting Results |
Yesterday, delegates participating in the 2022 Annual Business Meeting engaged in constructive debate on a number of important issues. More than 300 delegates considered 41 resolutions – 32 recommended by the Resolutions Committee and 9 not-recommended. Of those, 29 resolutions were adopted.
Delegates also elected officers for the 2023 calendar – Peggy Zugibe as President, Sandra Ruffo as 1st Vice President, Christine Schnars as 2nd Vice President and Thomas Nespeca as Treasurer.
Positions adopted during the Business Meeting will remain in effect for five years, unless they are rescinded or achieved sooner. The NYSSBA Governmental Relations team will work towards advancing those proposals that require legislative change to be implemented.
A full list of the adopted position statements can be found below. NYSSBA’s complete list of updated 2023 Position Statements will be distributed in the near future.
